'Umang' intervention has had a long-standing learning relationship with American School of Bombay, where every year, few members of the Umang team participate in their 'Teacher Training Program'.
The program helps teachers develop instructional techniques, assessment strategies, and learn tools for leadership skills, classroom management and lesson planning. This year, 7 teachers and 2 leaders participated wherein, through 6 day-long workshops and a school visit, teachers developed their skills in instructional design and delivery.
Teachers, along with participants from other schools, made a presentation on how they have implemented what was learned during the program. The participants are now keen to not only implement their learning in their classrooms but also share these strategies with the rest of the Umang Team.
