Digital Learning Solution
Enabling digital equity and strengthening technology integration in urban vernacular medium schools
The Digital Learning Solution project was launched as an emergent response to the massive learning disruption for students especially from the underprivileged families, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. A need assessment was conducted with 40 schools in August 2020 with 35,577 students. This data captured the information shared by school headteachers and management. KEF found that 58% of students were outside the orbit of education and not receiving any academic inputs.
Digital Learning Solution (DLS) project is targeted to enhance the teaching-learning process and outcomes for teachers and students of KEF partnerĀ schools and over a period of time build a sustainable digital learning infrastructure and practices in schools so that schools are
future-ready.

In 2020, DLS provided immediate support and solution to Grade 10 students by offering tabs to them which were preloaded with academic content and DLS aims to make integration of technology in teaching, learning and assessment as part of urban vernacular medium school processes.
