Kotak Junior Scholarship is a collaborative CSR project of Kotak Mahindra Group companies to promote education and livelihood among economically backward communities.
Tailored to the requirements of Standard 11+ students from SSC, CBSE and ICSE boards, the scholarship program nurtures their talents and helps them flourish. Trained experts counsel and enable students to complete Standard 12 and encourage them to take admission to professional courses.
Their confidence is boosted through a thoughtfully structured timetable of financial aid, one-on-one mentoring, career guidance, webinars and assistance to prepare for entrance exams. They also get industry exposure through field visits to business houses and educational institutions. Skilful specialists from KEF help build a positive environment through home visits, enabling parents to stay involved and take pride in their children’s development.

After registration, log in and fill the application form with your email ID or phone number and password.
An Income Certificate will be required to be submitted to Kotak Education Foundation within 3 months of filling the application form. The income on the certificate should match the income listed on the application form.

Selected students will be informed by KEF through a congratulatory telephone call or message on or before 30th August, 2023.

Yes, an Income Certificate (उत्पन्नाचा दाखला) is a mandatory document which confirms your eligibility for the scholarship. If you do not have the latest Income Certificate at the time of applying, the receipt after application can be considered as proof that you have applied for the certificate. However, before confirming your scholarship, you need to submit the latest Income Certificate.
You should have a joint bank account with either of the parents. Bank statement or first page of a bank passbook is a mandatory document. In case you do not have a bank account at the time of the application, you can immediately start the process of opening a bank account (joint account with parent in case of a minor student).
15th July, 2023 is the last date for submission of applications for the Kotak Junior Scholarship.
You will receive a message or a phone call by 20th July, 2023 if you have been finalized and selected for the Scholarship program.
An amount of Rs. 63,000/- will be allotted for the 2 years of the scholarship program.
The Kotak Junior Scholarship amount can be utilized for paying college fees, purchasing study books, coaching classes or tuition fees or any activity related to academics.
The scholarship amount will be transferred into your bank account.
No fees need to be paid for the scholarship or at any point in time during the tenure of the scholarship program.
No. The Scholarship is open to State Board, ICSE and CBSE Boards and to students from Government schools, private aided and non-aided schools.
You will receive one-on-one mentoring from KEF experts for both years.
KEF will provide academic support, webinars and career guidance to help you make the appropriate career choice after 12th Standard, as well as assistance in competitive entrance exam preparations.
You will benefit from industry exposure visits to business houses and educational institutions.
Experienced specialists from KEF will review your academic progress at regular intervals, conduct home visits and interact with your parents during the tenure of the Kotak Junior Scholarship program.
Mentoring is academic and counselling support provided to you. Once you are on board with KEF as a Junior Scholar, a KEF mentor will be assigned to you. S/he will guide you through the 2 years of the scholarship program and support you in preparing a detailed study plan, tracking it and completion of syllabus.
Yes, if your college is within the MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region) geographical area, you are eligible for the scholarship provided you also meet all the other basic eligibility criteria.
Yes, the Scholarship is open to Day and Night Schools, to students from Government schools, private aided and non-aided schools.
There are 9 larger municipal corporations under the MMR region. They include Greater Mumbai (Brihanmumbai) and the suburban city, Thane City, Mira Road-Bhayandar, Kalyan-Dombivali, Ulhasnagar, Bhiwandi-Nizampur, Navi Mumbai, Panvel City, Vasai-Virar. The other 3 municipal councils of Ambernath, Badlapur and Uran are also included.
Yes, if scores keep dropping every quarter and participation in student engagement activities is limited, the Kotak Junior Scholarship can be terminated with prior notice/communication.
Yes. The scholarship does not discriminate on the basis of disability, religion, caste or gender. Students are expected to meet the primary criteria for selection for Kotak Junior Scholarship and seek admission at any college in the MMR geographical area.
No restrictions are observed with respect to the medium or language of schooling. The student needs to meet the criteria of merit and family income and should take admission to a college within the MMR geographical area.
Kotak Education Foundation has a graduation-level scholarship available for students after they successfully complete HSC Board or 12th Standard. In order to secure the scholarship, students have to meet the means and merit criteria of the 12+ scholarship. The selection for the graduate-level scholarship is at the discretion of the Kotak Education Foundation.
